Diogo Guedez was born in Lisbon on the 26th of February 1996 and since 2011 he has gained thousands of followers on the internet who are interested in his poems that address controversial issues such as dictatorships, wars, slavery, racism, homophobia, religion taken to extremes and also sometimes about his personal relationships.Although most of his writing talks about horrible realities that mankind does or did in the past, it always has inspiring messages in order to give confidence to the readers. The main message in his poems is to always fight against everything that tries to weaken us, that we should only focus on what makes us feel alive, what makes our hearts burst with emotions. According to him "We were all born to leave a mark on this world, it’s up to us to leave behind moments that we’ll be proud of or regrets, fearing to take risks and lame excuses. There is nothing more important in life than achieving peace of mind and although sometimes it may seem difficult or even unreachable, we all must authorize this feeling to take over all sorrow, injustices, grudges and hatred that we find on our way."
